Thursday will be World Book Day and Herbert Morrison will be celebrating with lots of exciting events through-out the week. There will be a open morning on Thursday and you can come dressed as your favourite book character (there are some ideas on the website below along with lots of other great book related content) . Oh and don’t forget to bring in your favourite word to share with the class!

This week we have been busily practising using positional language and describing movement. We played some barrier games on Friday to practise our use of this language. Well done Jaguars – you were fantastic !
Jaguars class learnt and performed some rhymes and poems about the rain as part of our on going topic looking at the weather.
Below is the song for our class assembly next week. Have a listen and practise the words. See if you can think of some actions too!
We will be beginning one of focus weeks on the weather this week. The children will be recording the weather and looking carefully at patterns in the weather over the next fortnight.
How many weather words can you think of ?
Watch the weather forecast carefully each night? What does it tell us and how accurate is it?
